I am looking at a CT cabinet along with the electrical contractor for a 2500 amp service. We would like to "properly" calculate and understand the requirements of
Table 312.6(B).
We both do not clearly understand how to measure for the footnote; 1.
If this is a single measurement, measured perpendicular would this require:
For 600 Kcmil conductors we'd need 12" (footnote 2.e. -3") from point of entry to the lug. We would imagine a line vertical from the lug, and need 12 " of space before we exited the back of the CT?
How much higher from the lug would the nipple hole need to be?
I hope I asked this question correctly for someone to help with some advice.
A sincere thanks!
