California PVC conduit in schools

Anyone aware of a prohibition in NEC/CEC or elsewhere not allowing PVC conduit in CA schools? The specific application is pvc elbow to first outlet box in wood stud walls, from underground branch circuit run, but I'm interested in any/all related prohibitions. Thanks!

Thanks, I forgot that was there [518.4 (C) Spaces with finish rating]... but this is not a place of assembly. It's an E-1 occupancy middle school.

Wouldn't the cafeteria and assembly room/gym be places of assembly? Just thinking out loud, since the only school jobs I ever did were while I was on somebody's payroll and I never had to think about such things.

Yes it would if there was a gym etc. Sorry, I didn't mention that this is just one of many classroom buildings on campus. Gym is in another bldg.
