Other than uses allowed in NEC Article 520 where else can cam-locks be used? See them used on flexible cables/cords with mobile equipment all the time but cannot find where NEC allows their use. Any NEC references greatly appreciated. :?

camloks are listed to UL498 - ATTACHMENT PLUGS AND RECEPTACLES.

So IMO, you can use them anywhere you would be able to use an attachment plug/cord setup, assuming you are allowed to do it one wire at a time.

Agreed.
NEC is permissive if it isn't prohibited by code then you can use them.
