Hello,

I have a CCTV camera that is supported by a "pendant". The pendant is a galvanized rigid conduit. The conduit gets attached to a junction box. The conduit is 3 ft long. Any issue with this setup? camera is about 4 lbs

just to be clear it is: Junction box -> conduit -> camera pendant adapter -> cctv camera bolted onto pendant adapter.

nothing is below the hanging camera.

I am looking at 314.23 (H) (2) to determine if the camera can be considered a pendant supported enclosure.

Not sure if there was a code . As long as it looks Professional. It happens in Commercial/Industrial/ Big box stores. Access points can be done the same way. Hope it helps.

I am just wondering if there is a section somewhere that forbids you from supporting a pendant support for a camera (or luminaire) from an enclosure.

If the conduit hangs from a 4S cover, then the limiting factor is the 2 8-32 cover screws. Seems like those are rated for 50 lbs

I was thinking more like a 6x6x4 stainless steel junction box with a Myers hub.

Would using a conduit body change anything?
