Can branch circuit be in same conduit as Inverter output?

Can i run conductors for an outlet i install in the (N) conduit i installed the inverter output conductors in?

(Details: The conduit goes from Inv. ----> Main, with 3 @ #8 + 1 @ #8 egc/gec. I want monitoring for the inverter so I will install a 15 A GFCI outlet adjacent to inverter in a NEMA 3R box. So i want to run a black and white #12 in said conduit and share the larger #8 egc.)

Based solely on the information provided, you can.

But I have to wonder what monitoring are you looking at that requires a 120V receptacle... and isn't provided by the inverter itself? Additionally, if you are monitoring inverter output, couldn't you just do that at the Main end?

Most internal inverter monitoring is not revenue grade, and this install may require something that is revenue grade. Also the primary function of the monitoring unit may be to transmit data over the internet, which is not done directly by any inverter I know of. Finally, a lot of monitoring devices require a modbus data connection to the inverter as well as a powerline CT, so putting it next to the inverter is easier.
 
And wonder you should. There is a web box. We like to use powerline adapters, instead of running CAT 5 cable all over. Hence the outlet.

This is optional, Jaggedben, so not revenue grade.
