I have a 1'x1'x8' gutter with a hinged cover that was installed during 1st phase remodel. due to where it was installed i am only able to pipe out of one end of it. however, I am really needing to pipe out of the front which is where the cover is located. am I able to cut about a foot of one end of the cover and permanently attach it to the front and pipe out of it. the rest of the cover will remain hinged. there are only branch circuits passing through the gutter. I'm not finding anything on if it is permitted or not.
