Hi,
I've got a telemetry station project which utilizes a 100W panel mounted on the side of the metal pole. I'm considering running the connector cable and ground wire exposed to the control panel, also mounted to the pole. The length of run is about 11 feet. Is this OK per Code?
My alternative to this setup would be to use a weather head entrance&cap plus conduit and then transition to flex before entering the panel from the bottom.

Thoughts?
Thanks,
EE

It is not safe to exposed.
PV systems often include a variety of wiring methods in a single system. Many of these wiring methods are commonly used throughout the electrical industry and are not new to inspectors.

PV source circuit conductors can be exposed but only in the PV array (690.31(B)). Once it leaves the PV array it gets protected like any other conductor.
