Can you have AC and DC circuits on the same multiconductor cable.

Hi, We have a junction box that has 24VDC circuits and 120 VAC circuits. We need to connect this box to a control panel. We would like to run a single multiconductor cable. Is that possible? or do we need to run two separate cables. One for AC and one for DC. By the way, the cable(s) will be ran in a cable tray. I know you can have AC and DC cables on same cable tray as long as the cables have the same voltage rating (i.e. 600V). We plan to use 600V cables, so again can we mix AC and DC on the same multiconductor cable.? Thanks.

They make MC cables for these applications:

the 24VDC circuits are not class 2 or class 3. The 24VDC comes from a 20A power supply.

Regarding the recommended cable with the twisted pair. I do not really need the 24VDC to have twisted pairs. The 24VDC signals are just contacts from a switch (digital). I am planning to use Okonite type MC cable (12-conductor)

By the way, this cable will be installed on a cable tray on a class 1 Div 2 location. I do not know if this makes a difference. Thanks

There is no code issue with that combination of circuits in a common cable.
501.10(B)(1)(5) permits MC in Class I, Division 2 location.
