I have not visited a site and was given some preliminary info, and trying to identify what kind of switch this is in the photo of a 200A service as seen from Google maps street view. It looks like an enclosed breaker or a Safety switch, any idea if it is something else, such as an outdoor loadcenter that might have branch breaker positions in it?

Photo is a bit fuzzy.

Understand, but it is far away and can't get a pic for a while. I am thinkking it is this enclosed breaker from Eaton. Here is another maps image from different angle.

You could work for the FBI being able to use that low res image to figure out the Main breaker set up.

Props to you for the "working-from-home" engineering lol ;)

Maybe, but why do you ask? I would not make any design or pricing decisions based on this low resolution image.
I agree, but I need to give a preliminary quote on a subcontract installation, and don't want to spend the effort for a site visit and detailed feedback to the inquirer until I get a commitment for the job, with price subject to tweaks I find necessary after the visit. They did not send me typical detailed site visit information or photos. Kind of a new situation for me/my company, thought I would give it a try.

In the PV business you are all shocked that people are doing quotes without a site visit? Particularly on resi systems? :)
And the paint is latex, put on during a hot afternoon. Two coats so it covered up the ugly labels. The cable/phone box next to it is installed upside down so the ground would come out of the left side. 😁

One thing you could do is to ask your potential customer to shoot photos and send them to you, especially if closeups would give you information that would be helpful.

And of course include in your quote something like, Subject change after site visit review of equipment and existing installation. That's the get out of jail free card if your remote viewing assumptions prove incorrect.

I have done that when I have a direct customer relationship, but understand this is a PV system sold by a national outfit, and they want my company to quote the installation. I don't know who the homeowner is.

"My preliminary quote based on the grainy image is.....................
A good photo is still needed for a final quote. Anybody on site or in area that can send a photo?"
