Sometimes I don't know if I'm the boxer or the bag
Location
Roanoke, VA.
Occupation
Sorta retired........
Hoping someone can answer this for me.
I have been told that the CEC requires bushings on ALL connectors regardless of wire size or conduit size.
Is this correct? Obviosly I don't have a copy of the CEC and the person that told me this is only a salesman so he only knows what he's being told and no, he will not tell them to quote chapter and verse he will only say we will fix it.
We don't mind fixing it if it is code but I don't feel like going to Canada right now. I hear it's kinda cold up there in December!

In Ontario 12-906
In summary

(1) bushings or equivalent means shall be used to protect from damage

(2) #8 or larger conductors protection shall consist of
(a)insulating type bushing unless exit point is smooth
(b)insulating material fasten in place that will protect the conductor.

This is about the best I could come up with. I will say that kinda like here the code is adopted/amended to the Provence's.
What have you gotten your self into now Mike?
