Canopy Ltg on Surface Mounted Box

Need to install a wet location listed surface mounted metal halide lighting fixture on a surface mounted box with exposed conduit under a canopy (damp location). Can a stamped steel box be used or does it have to be a cast box with gasket?

If you want your job to look like a professional did it, go with the cast box
with gasket, you going like the way it will look when you finished.

Doesn't the fixture have provisions to enter it with a 1/2" conduit?

Is the stamped square box listed/rated for damp locations? Most likely yes. Shouldn't be a problem.
