Good day members!

For the out door low voltage electrical panel board installation in Offshore platforms, what are the criteria for proving sun shade(Canopy).Any standard is available for demanding the requirement of Canopy over the Outdoor LV Panels..?Please advise..

For the general rules, see ANSI/API RP 14F-1999, Recommended Practice for Design and Installation of Electrical Systems for Fixed and Floating Offshore Petroleum Facilities for Unclassified and Class I, Division 1 and Division 2 Locations.

In the U.S., the United States Coast Guard maintains offshore jurisdiction in most cases and is generally covered by Title 46, Code of Federal Regulations.

I am not personally of your application but there are many regulations. My marine experience is limited to onshore power distribution at ports.
