Can't find support for this in NEC... please help

Can you splice stranded conductor to romex conductor, all things being equal ie. awg., insulation temp. rating ect. The splice would be made in a junction box to either lengthen the already to short conductors(old work) or to pigtail the hot wire to a device. :?

If your wire nut or whatever is listed for the wire, go for it!

Yes, all you need is a wire connector rated for the stranded to solid splice and luckily most is not all wirenuts are listed for solid to stranded splices.
