Hello Electricians and Administrators,
I am posting just to give an introduction and share about my test results today. My name is Justin I am a Washington State EL10 Modified Trainee Doors & Gates Specialty, a 2nd year EL01 Commercial/Industrial Apprentice with a vast understanding of residential installation. I will soon be a EL01 WA State Administrator. Today was my first attempt at the Administrators exam and I PASSED THE CALCULATIONS PORTION!! Only a 70% but I'll take it! I also passed the RCW And WAC portion with a 94%. I did not pass the NEC and Theory portion as I only scored a 62%. I was wanting to point out a couple easy but necessary things that I did not do and the reason for me failing this portion in hopes others will not make the same mistake. I know I will get some flak for not doing these basics but I want to reiterate how important they are. First one is time management. I spent far too long on each question the second time through. Make sure to make a solider time plan. I suggest answer all in a hour, review flagged answers for two hours second time then the last hour on the tough ones. Second use the Calculate pro calculator with 2014 NEC hardware. Some will say your cheating but the questions you actually use if for are not the harder ones and by using this calculator you can save time for your tough ones! I look f oreward to joking this community and retesting ASAP.
Thanks!
Justin Hansen
