Car charging ports

I can’t truly find anything in the code, but was wondering if there needs to be car charging ports installed in an underground parking garage of like an apartment or condo complex?

No. That would be impossible to require until car and truck manufacturers adopt a standard configuration that would be compatible with every vehicle. Look for it in the 2027 code.

I think its mostly local admendments or requirements. You would have to contact the local municipality to see if they require it.

You're in Wisconsin, so I can tell you the answer is "No". I moved to Wisconsin. I wanted snow instead of blistering heat for a change.

J1772 is standard enough that everyone but Tesla owners would be happy, and 3kW is adequate for homes, apartments, condos.
