Whats to know Run a 40 amp circuit and install a receptacle- usually range receptacle or direct wire. No disconnect is necessary unless it is more than 60 amps

ah! many thx Den....lotta 'N' stuff....don't most of these take CC's? meaning cat5?

Granted I haven't seen all the different chargers, but I've hooked up a few different ones. As Dennis said, just a 40A or 60A circuit, depending on the requirements for the specific charger. None of the ones I installed required anything other than the specified circuit size. No Cat5 for the ones I did. Also, mine just required direct wiring but I understand there are some that come with a cord and cord cap and require a receptacle.

Some Tesla units can be wired together on the same circuit and they use the Cat 5 cable to communicate to the other units so they can control the loads at each charger being used.

Minor correction for you Dennis.....They actually use an 18/2 shielded cable between units.
