Anyone have any experience with Carhartt FR clothing? I' ve heard some of the older FR can be hot and uncomfortable.

People complain about FR materials in general being more scratchy than normal. I'm not really one that minds "scratchy" clothes, so I'm a bad one to gauge. I can say however that the FR materials are more stiff than ordinary materials that are treated by some means to get their FR rating.
I hear manufacturer's are starting to make the stuff more comfortable, though I have not bought any new items.I received some training recently on arc flash and ppe. You have to be careful and follow guidelines on washing or you can damage the protection. It is said that the air temp. can reach 16,000 degrees during an arc flash! Talk about "hot and uncomfortable"!!starsandstripes said:Anyone have any experience with Carhartt FR clothing? I' ve heard some of the older FR can be hot and uncomfortable.
