I know this can't be run for more than about 330' but what about 12,25,50 or 100 paiot telephone backbone cable? Can that be run for longer distances? Thanks.

It can be run as far as you want to run it, but is is unlikely to pass the Cat6 tests much past the specified 100 meters.

IF ... big if ... you are running lower speeds than where it is qualified, or audio, or dc signalling, the 100 meter limit may be exceeded ... you need to know the requirements and determine if the TYPICAL limit applies. I believe that a telephone circuit is good to about 20,000 ft.

NOTE that with Cat5, 5E, or 6, a hub or switch will allow nominally doubling the distance.
