cat 6 raceway fill

Does it matter for raceway fill in a network cabling install? The contractor will not replace the 3/4 conduit stubs, he just wants to add more 3/4 conduit to accomodate the 8 cat 6 cables. What about box fill? The cat6 cable has an outside diameter of .222...

EIA-TIA reccomends not more than 40% fill. Anything more than that and one risks damaging the cable while pulling it in. In practice, we've got as much as 60% in by using lots of lubricant - but we lost a few cables due to unfixable FEXT errors!

3/4" is not big enough for 8 cables. Period. It will handle 5 safely, 6 at most.
