Cat5E and coax in same raceway?

I conducted a lengthy search but never found the info I needed

My question is, can you run coax and cat5e together in a 3/4" conduit? It will be running from the existing house to a 4 bedroom detached addition. I would suspect that you could do that with no interferance but just wanted to get some extra input on this matter. Thanks guys
 
I see no problem with what you've described. In fact some manufacturers actually make a hybrid cable that contains both cat 5 and coax within the same cable.
 
Do they need to be rated for "wet location"?

If the conduit goes underground then Yes the cable will need to be listed for a wet location.

Can't you buy a cable with cat-5 and coax together.

Yes, I have used it before, seems to work pretty good and a lot easier to pull one cable instead of two.

the A.V. guys call the bundled cable "banana cable". I have used one that has 2-cat5,2-RG6, and 2-multi-mode fiber optic cables.

That is what patch panels and X-Connects are for. You bring all the services from outside to a central location to a patch pannel then X-Connect using patch cords.

Thanks. I figured it had to be done inside, but that requires finding room for one more piece of equipment which I do not always have. Have you found it is beneficial in the long run? I am still pondering changing methods.
