Question,

I have a MATCOR power supply rated at 60 Hz and output 40 volts DC at 5 Amps. But my supply voltage is 50 Hz. Will this be a problem.

Worried that the Cathodic Protection will not funtion !!

There may be more AC ripple on the output because any passive filtration will be less efficient at 50 Hertz.
A more serious potential problem would be saturation of an *input* transformer if it has one.
It could happen if the transformer was very cheaply specified and the voltage is higher than the intended voltage. (Possibly above 240V or 120V by standard POCO tolerances).
If your supply is 230 or 220 there is less chance of saturation.
