Hope this is not old news but...I put up a ceiling fan yesterday that came with an led light fixture. I did not look at the box so I installed the dimming remote receiver that the customer supplied. Anyway, these led fixture will not work with dimming remotes or fan/light controllers.
Not the end of the world, lost a little time rewiring the fan, but I will look at the boxes a little closer from now on.

As Sgt. Schultz would say, "Verrrrry interesting." I have yet to see LEDs with a fan/light combo. Can an LED light be dimmed?

"I don't think so, Tim."

He was the Sgt. of the guards on Hogan's Heroes.

Would you believe Arte Johnson? Right show, tho.

Correctamundo! By the way, the show was a take-off of the movie Stalag 17.

Cieling fan with led fixture

Saturday mornings when I was 5-1963-starting at 6am-I remember that little round screen in a great big console that gave me black and white images of Our Flag waving in the breeze followed by "The American Farmer"[or some program title to that effect] followed by "Deputy Dawg" and "Cecil and Beanie"cartoons.
But better than that was the day in 1964 [I think'64 or '65] that we got our "ZENITH COLOR TV"probably ..,what?26" hard to recall exactly because the screen size was measured differently back then..,but it was bigger than me and it was the first on the block and it was an 'event'.
I'm all of only 50yrs old but" those were the days baby".
Sorry if I got off topic here but I couldn't help it.

Beanie and Cecil, but who's counting?

"Officer, officer, arrest that man!"

"Why?"

"What he does to me in next week's show is a crime!"

Then there were Tom Terrific and Heckle and Jeckle.

I remember our first color TV, too. It was an Olympic console TV with a VHF-only mechanical tuner, and my dad added a set-top UHF converter.

OK, I missed with Sgt. Schultz but I remember laying on the floor in front of the radio and listening to Amos & Andy, Henry Aldrich, The Lone Ranger, The Shadow, etc.

I think it is time to get back on track or to close this thread. Let's see, the OP was talking about a fan with LED lights.
