ceiling mounted (on surface) FS box with an outdoor cover with a 1/2 k/o

We are powering an ice making machine at our local marina. It is housed in a sturdy wood framed structure. All raceways around the machine are surfaced mount rigid PVC. The machine is high up so one of the raceway runs along ceiling to feed 115v condenser fan. Can I run a 90 degree carlon connector o/o a FS box outdoor metal cover (1/2 k/o) to LFNMC whip down to machines jct box? I see in the code book regarding recessed boxes but not surface mounted.
