Ceiling Tile Support Wire Used for Fire Alarm Cable Support.

I can use help on a wire installation question. A company came behind us and installed devices in a new part of a building we have the main fire panel in. When they could not get a CO we got called back in. We said the only way we would approve the site was after a full inspection. I can cover all my other concerns chapter and verse, but I can't put me finger on the one for not attaching the fire wire to ceiling tile wire supports. We always put our own in or go above the red iron. Ours is supported by the structure and not adding weight to the ceiling grid however slight it may be. Anyone know the article?

When you are working with a Chapter 7 installation you have to look to the xxx.3 section in the Chapter 7 Article. 760.3 says "Only those sections of Article 300 referenced in this article shall apply to fire alarm systems."
That being said 300.11 is referenced in 760.46 and in 760.130(B).

If these are the kind of chuckleheads you're dealing with, check the sprinkler pipe as well. Even money they are running stuff on that too.
