Central AC Emergency Lighting

I am curious what experience people had with a battery supplied AC emergency lighting system. We're talking about a 3-5kVA system, 90 min. standard backup.

Most likely going to use LED fixtures, so transfer time is not that important.

I am curious about installation difficulties, battery type used, service experience, reliability and any other information you may wish to share.

I have installed a couple of these systems in large retail stores. They were used to power Flouresent or LED. Installation was easy, I don't recall any issues. As far as reliability all I can say is they lasted a year, after that I have no idea.
