Yes. Just came back from the Restore (Habitat for Humanity's retail outlet), and the shortage extends there as well. Last Fall they had about 150 in stock gathering dust. Today - zero. Also GE switches were out of inventory. What's up with that?

Eaton.
CH or BR, or both?

A HD near me did tell me "that's all we have right now, delivery has been slow on breakers". Some local elec supply houses had some, but I did not ask about their inventory. Probably slow everywhere in terms of OEM to distribution, or possibly just a slow distribution due to that china virus.

I tried to get plug on gfci breakers but was happy with gfci with pigtails. Other supply didn’t have plug on afci breakers .

I have found problems getting any of the afci, gfci, dual-function breakers I need at any big box stores. Supply houses seem to have no problem, though.

I am having a similar issue with QO Sq. D.. It seems the big box has gone to dual function breakers instead

Yes, recently I was looking for Eaton BR AFCI and all they had at the bix box was the dual function. I mean, fine...it doesn't hurt besides the extra few bucks.

Don't really know the status of Eaton but SquareD is a huge issue with the supply houses. I have not been able to get AFCI's or standard 2-pole breakers for months. I have had other EC's calling be asking if I have anyy breakers they can buy to complete jobs. My SquareD distributor has slowly been getting some inventory in but they have had backorders build up over the past few months so what comes never hits the shelves.

Halo has been bad too. My supply houses had a good inventory of the most common Halo items but said anything they have to order is a challenge. I had two GC's that do small jobs in house call recently asking which Halo LED trims they shoud use that HD stocks. I looked on line at Home Depot to send them links but all of the local stores had only a few in stock.

I stopped in Home Depot the other day to get a hardware item. In walking around the store most departments had large area of shelving with no inventory.

I'm finding the same thing. For Square D I was looking for 3 dual function square d homeline 20a breakers for a kitchen where the first receptacle on both circuits was going to be a USB/duplex combination, and the dish/disposal circuit. I looked at 5 different stores in the area. Finally I went to the supply house that sells Square D and they had them. I hardly ever go there because they got real expensive.

Covid shut down all of the factories; we’ve been discussing here for awhile.

New panelboard deliveries from both Schneider & Eaton are running 8-10/wks for me.

We pieced together parts from around the country and our own warehouse to finish jobs we had in progress, and since then I’ve been writing it into contracts there will be delays outside my control.

I just heard yesterday most of the Siemens panelboards I ordered July 1st came in, so that is pretty much normal time, maybe a hair longer. Those were P1 250's, the big boy 1000 amp P4 is still two weeks out however.
