Chain hung fixtures and ducts

A quick question. Chain hung fluroscent fixtures from purlins, with a metal a/c duct running under the purlin. Is the chain allowed to hang off the purlin, but rub against the duct. the chain probably offsets about 6" from being plum. This happens in a line about 20' long and involves about 5, 4' fixtures.

I would not have a problem with this. It is what it is. How picky is the customer

? In a wearhouse or manfacturing plant not a problem.
