Can a linear industrial fixture with a factory attached 3/10 cord be suspended using chain? Recalling something about it having to be mc cable if chain but cord is ok with aircraft cable or am I thinking of flexible conductor vs solid conductor? Can the cord attach to a recessed JB through the coverplate using just a strain relief cord connector or is any other support necessary for the cord such as mesh sure-grip? The fixture will be suspended maybe about 12" below the ceiling. The cord will exit the JB and possibly have a couple loops secured to ceiling then drop down to the fixture.
