Right here.
What year did CH finally squash the Challenger brand name? I know that there were a few overlap years where the equipment featured the name "Cutler-Hammer Challenger" on the cover towards the end, then they totally stopped. Things are all BR now. What year did that all take effect?

Eaton ( C-H's parent) bought the Westinghouse line in 1994 (Which included Zinsco/Sylvania/Challenger) ,when Challenger & the Westinghouse safety switch line was sold to T&B I dont know.

I seriously figured that all of this br junk was made in the same plant, then labled accordingly to the brand...

After Westinghouse Electric bought Challenger, the Challenger line of breakers was discontinued and the Bryant BR was relabeled as a Challenger product. Now as to the time frame when the Bryant name was dropped and branded as Westinghouse who knows.

I purchased and installed Challenger panels in the late 80's into the early 90's.

Are you saying these were leftover stock back then?
