The Eaton BR is the direct replacement. If you look at a new BR breaker is will be marked Type BR and Type C. The C is for Sylvania/Challenger loadcenters.

Being so ,,, It isnt a TRU tandem breaker because it STILL hooks on both phases ,,, without letting you add a single breaker above or below it .. Whats the use in this !!!!:rant:

Those are Type A breakers. You could purchase a left, right or 2-pole. This would allow you to make many different combination of twin/quad breakers. If you installed a 2-pole Type A you needed to install Type A breakers on each side to make full use of the space. You could also get 1/2" fillers. When Westinghouse purchased the Challenger line they killed the thin Type A design and replaced it with their Type BD breaker.

Crouse Hinds had the same type of thin breakers.
