I?m installing a custom made chandelier 35' in the air, and need a motorized lift for it. The problem is that its 1000-1200lbs. The biggest fixture lift I can find is the Aladdin ALL1000 rated at 1000lbs. The other problem is it really needs to be remotely located because there is no attic and I can?t put an access panel directly above the fixture. Any help would be appreciated.

After a recent horrible experience with a pretty incompatible chandelier and a lift kit, I'll say this:

If you still have a 200 lb. unknown range for your chandelier, you're not planning well enough. These details have to be engineered out thoroughly before you start this project, or you'll end up with your back against the wall and with a very unhappy customer. Make sure every step of this is thought out, every piece of needed hardware is known and on hand, every connection is worked out, every weight has been calculated, every support is rated for your needed weight, how you control the lift kit, every wiring distance, etc. etc. etc. I hung a 280 lb. light that turned into a three day fiasco for me and a builder and helper and ended up costing the homeowner a ton of money to get done.

augie47. Thank you for the source, I will look into it.

PetrosA. Im at the beginning stages of this project so I'm tryng to get as much info as I can. I have told the manufacture that I need detailed specs of the chandelier to cover myself. Right now I just need info on possible lifts.
