Store/Bar has single phase 240/120 service existing. They are adding three phase heat pumps, refrigeration units, air handlers, etc. The added units for rated @ 208V 3 Phase. What service voltage does utility provide when existing equipment to remain works on 240V single phase?

You will need to contact the POCO and discuss your requirements. They will tell you what they can supply. You may even need a separate service for the new loads.

I don't know what your POCO will require, you can ask them. I had a simular change over three times in the last two years. All 3, our POCO said that they would install another phase to a 240 volt system, and provide us 240 volt Delta.

Now, before anyone jumps in and tells me tons of reasons why not to have 240 Delta, I want to say this; The customer was happy to get the 3phase, The price was affordable, POCO got it done right away.

I have also did a church that wanted to ditch the 240 Delta they had for 208 Wye. POCO wanted the customer to buy the new transformers, or proved EE data showing an significant increase in demand. Which, they did.

But, if you and your customer can live with the 240 Delta, than it would be a cheaper alternative.
