Chapter 9 table 11A lists power source limitation information for class 2 and 3 circuits. The * on the voltage leads to a note that says "voltages shown are for indoor locations or where wet contact may not occur."
What is this saying? Is this saying that if wet contact may occur when someone opens a NEMA 4 enclosure mounted outdoors to service it, that even if the voltage and power are limited that the circuits in that box can not be classified as a class 2 circuit? Are there no class 2 circuits that are allowed to be outdoors?
I never knew this table existed and I'll bet there's others that didn't either.
