Hoping you can help me with this as I study for the supervising low voltage exam. Size of conductors are listed twice for conductors smaller than AWG 8. How do I know which to use when. Sometimes the answer comes from the top (qty 1) and sometimes the answer comes from the bottom (qty 7)

Took me a few moments to see what you are asking about. Also, welcome to the forum.

Look at the top of the table and notice that Quantity is beneath the Stranding header.

Now, look over the table with that in mind, and tell me what you realize now.

Cannot look up code right now but pretty sure I know why... but I use the seven mostly in conduits..lol...
