Anyone bought one of the cheap Amazon 2020 Code books lately? $ 35.00. I got one. Only problem so far I found is that in Article 210.8A-5, the (number 5) is missing for "basements". The wording is there, just the number is missing. It took me a while to notice, because I was looking for the number and couldn't find it, til I pulled up the "online" 2020 and compared it. Hope the other 800+ pages are alright:(

You can just open Amazon.com and search 2020 NEC Code book, or just type in 2020 NEC code book in your search engine and Amazon is displayed in the ads. Yes, my supply house wanted $ 105.00 for it.

Amazon buys a digital license from NFPA and does their own printing, often with substandard materials and results.

YES and they fall apart very quickly too I've had to re-glue the binding of my building code too. My 2020 NEC has the word "die" in several places instead of "the".

Was wondering how they could sell them so cheap. I'm retired 3 years but like to keep up on the code. Here in Philly we are in the 2017 NEC for residential & 2014 NEC for everything else. Attention for you young sparkles spend the extra money and purchase the illustrated NEC version with tons of color pictures & explanations for at least your first code book. ALSO take a look at Mike Holts free graphic & code question that he puts out 7 days a week. Also NECA along with Charlie Trout provides a code question of the day . First 2 things that I read every morning.

this is a link to all the codes,

I think it's not advisable for someone that is not so familiar with the book to buy it
Or at least not a new one. The best code book advice I ever got was learning how to use the code book. Not even what's in it, just learning how to find all the things.

I give my old ones away to various people. I still have my 2014 because I bought the digital 2017, which I hate, and haven't bought the paper 2020 yet.

As an instructor, I ordered 20 of the Amazon $35 specials. I found them full of errors. some pages were blank, some missing code sections, etc.
you may have gotten something that did not actually come from Amazon. the amazon printed books are pretty decent quality.
