What's the best way to check local regulation, is there typically deviation from the NECS?
Speaking of Michigan, Berkley, MI to be more accurate.

Call the town offices. Be sure to see a copy of any local/state ammendments if any exist.

Just be cautious. I have often heard of "The inspector in such-and-such town requires this" which is B.S. The inspector can only enforce the NEC and any local and state ammendments, not his personal preferences.
