I am going to take the Chicago Supervising Electricians test next year.
I have given myself a year to study for the test.
It looks like they adhere very closely to the NEC 2005 code wording.
I've been in this field for 38 years (mostly industrial instrumentation and controls). I have an Associate degree in EET from Purdue Univ.
I am a journeyman electrician (1976) and have worked for a year as a High Tension Lineman during the course of my career. It is now a job requirement with my employer, to take and pass the Chicago test.
Even with my background and experience, I have heard the horror stories about taking the Chicago test. (mostly from those who failed) I guess I'm looking for some reassurance and insight from those who have been down this road before.
