Does anyone know about the Chicago Electrical Code Test and their procedures. I am also interested in any amendments related to the use of Class CTL "Mini Breakers" and if they are allowed there.

Thanks for your help.

Joe,
There is some information here. Not sure if it will help you.
I also found this on one of Chicago's other webpages.
Q: Can owners do their own electrical work?
A: No. Due to the potential for electric shock or fire hazard, only Electrical Contractors licensed by the City of Chicago can perform electrical installations.

Thanks Don for the reply and information.

The attached picture really got me in trouble recently after citing the new

408.41, and this is on the 2005 NEC DVD by NFPA!

Red Tag

Red Tag

OK, Red Tag it as a Violation since the beginning of the UL Standard .... not just because it is finally in 408.41 in the new 2005 NEC.

This image was in the very first video for Grounding as early as the 1999 NEC.

Seems like all of the revisions to date did not make any changes.

Joe this section was actually in the 2002 as well, although it was section 408.21. I agree, whoever, that it has been a violation of 110.3(B) ever since the listing standard.

Thats funny that that was in the video. Did they not point it out as a violation?

No, the video image shows up during the discussion, and thanks for the 2002 408.21 reminder, lots of missing marginal lines in the 2005 edition too.

PS: Your Avatar keeps me in high spirits!
