Looks like he used a screwdriver to push in a relay. Must be some sort of manual control device screwdriver. He was very lucky, stupid, but lucky.

There are only 3 kinds:
-Safe
-Lucky
-Dead

At first I thought it was a screwdriver also and was going to comment on the lack of PPE, but when I ran the video again I noticed he is using a cord with a rocker switch, not much better than a screw driver.

I took a closer look and slowed down the video, it was a snap switch not a screwdriver. I stand corrected.
