Our manufacturing company is setting up a service center in China and I have been tasked with building some test fixtures for the new facility. I am an electrician and am very familiar with receptacles, plugs, polarity, and transformer grounding here in the USA, but I have no idea how it?s done in China.
Here is what I think I know:
Power wiring is 380/220v WHY.
The general purpose outlets are 220V 50hz
A CNC machine in our factory that was made in China has a 380V to 220V single phase control transformer. The 220v secondary is identified ?220V? and ?0V?. The ?0V? connection is grounded to the frame of the machine.
According to what I found on the internet, a plug with an equipment ground is a GB2099 3P plug (Type I).
My equipment will have a control voltage transformer that steps down the voltage from 380 to 220V for some meters, contactor coils, and a power supply. I assume that I should ground one side of the 220V transformer just like we would if it was 120V..??
Also, I will need to install a 220V convenience outlet on the machine for a small instrument, and a place for them to plug in a computer. Does anyone know where I can get a GB2099 3P (Type I)plugs, cord caps, receptacles, and wall plates in the US, and how to wire them with the correct polarity?
I know this is an unusual request, but I would like to get it right the first time. Maybe someone could point me in the right direction.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
