I have a church that replaced its old wooden steeple with a new alum. one. It came with a #2 bare stranded pig tail cad welded to it. Is there any thing other than 250.106 I need to be aware of for bonding it?

Are you going to install down conductors and grounding?

I think you need to look to NFPA 780, the Lightning protection code and not the NEC for this application.

Yes, that is what I need info on. After looking at nfpa 780 it states that I need 2 down conductors that connect to 10ft g rods that then would be bonded to the elect. system grounds. Just need more info.

Suggest you extend to down conductors away from the building. Check

There are contractors who only do lighting protection. Its specialized and at least clarify what you have bid or will bid.
