I’m upgrading service from 200 to 320 amps. I’m planning on splitting it from the meter base between my current 200 amp panel inside the house (just on the other side of the wall from the meter base) & then to a disconnect right next to the meter base that will feed a 125 amp sub panel in an outbuilding about 100’ away. I found a Square D QO 200 amp 2-Pole Outdoor Circuit Breaker Enclosure (w/ breaker). Would that be usable as the disconnect to the sub panel or do I need to use an actual disconnect switch? Seems to me that the circuit breaker should work as that’s capable of de-energizing everything downstream. Thanks.
