Whats the difference on a 100% rated breaker compared to an 80% rated breaker when sizing the conductor? Use 400 amp c.b.

A 100% rated c/b vs. an 80% rated c/b would make no difference in sizing conductors.

Welcome to the forum.

A 100% rated breaker would have any affect on sizing of the circuit conductors. A 100% rated breaker just means that the breaker is designed to run at 100% of its continuous rated load, whereas a non 100% rated breaker is only rated to run at 80% of its continuous rated load.
