Circuit Calculation

A little unclear here. They are replacing motor, removing disconnect switch(adding splice box) and adding VFD. We are to reconnect existing circuit and run new wiring from VFD to motor.

1. It says 6P. Is that really 6 pole circuit? I don't have panel schedule.
2. Motor is 15 HP @208v. I come up with about 60A circuit. Disconnect is 100A.

• Would wire size need to be sized to the panel breaker or the 100A disconnect?
• How do they come up with 100A disconnect? Based on what?
