I want to feed power to a shed for lights and outlets feed from the main house outside gfi. What code issues is this and do I need a disconnect once the power comes into the shed ? Just thinking about using 12-2 UF to feed power to the shed

Bring the UF to a sp toggle switch and feed everything off the load side of the switch. Done...The sp switch is your disconnect

Well tell us every little detail of your installation and we'll let you know if there are any issues.

Just going by the information you have provided thus far, I see no issues. You will need a disconnecting means at the entry, but for a single branch circuit you can use a standard single pole wall switch. No grounding electrode system is required.

Take a few minutes and read through article 225.
