hello, if i want to have primary and secondary protection on my xfmr, do i then run from the secondary fuses to a fused disconnect and then to the motor? i'm still learning this stuff thanks.

When working with transformers, make sure you read both the rules in 450 for the required protection of the transformer and in 240 for the required protection of the conductors. You have to satisfy the rules in both articles.

thanks for the replies .i have another ? when the motor has a code letter L on it how do i use this for sizing the branch circuit conductors to the motor. i see something about it in 430.7(B), not quite sure how to apply the table numbers.
