My company manufactures Luminaires and I have a UL inquiry about the number of circuits a luminaire can have.
We build Luminairs with most of the time two circuits, one for the side lamps and the other for the down,or some cases it could have one for the up lamp also.
The question is can I have multiple circuits in the luminaire of the same voltage, or of different voltage, that could be operated with multiple switches. If so how can this be done to meet UL 1598 standard and the NEC code for wiring.
Some customer need to be able to control there lighting to there liking.
If there is a clause in UL1598 that states how this can be done and still be able to keep the UL label on the product let me know.
Thanks
Wayne
