My understanding is that the city has outsourced the testing process. From what I understand you still have to apply directly to the city and once the requirements have been met, you schedule a test with Sylvan Learning centers.
I've been told that the requirements are still the same as before, two years of school with a diploma with two years under a city licensed electrician or no school and ten years under a city licensed electrician. The test is now a four hour test.
