I am writing to inquire about the use of CJ6 straps on ENT. We are working on a low voltage project in a hotel and we need to secure the ENT properly. Can you please advise if CJ6 straps are compatible with ENT and if they meet the code requirements? Thank you for your assistance.

I guess if you're desperate and that's all you have and don't really care. Quickest and secure product would be proper size Handy Straps by Sturgeon Bay or 1-hole steel straps. I never use cj6 for anything because they're too flimsy and see too many cables floppying around and yanked off.

I would say the CJ6 would neither support or secure a section of EMT and the product is not listing itself for use with anything other than MC or NM so to use otherwise would be outside of product specs.
Language in 358.30 says "securely fastened in place" to me would not allow for the CJ6 as support due to the need to limit movement to be able pull thru wire.
Now AFA the intended use for LV systems would the EMT be only to sleeve section pass throughs or to pull completed conduit system. If only to act as a short section sleeve for like a CAT6 cable, the method of "Securing" a little less critical. But still, a CJ6 not designed for EMT and you would not be happy even attempting to use one on even a 1/2" EMT. Would think even a zip tie like pictured would be easier to use for sleeve sections as you can screw it fastened in place.

There is another product made by NVent for use with EMT: CADDY CS812D SCREW ON CONDUIT SUPPORT that would be much easier to use.
