CL-2 & NM Cable

Inspectors are human, believe it or not, :happyyes: and they can be misinformed as much as we are. My guess that he is over interpretation 300.3(C)

I have heard that too but IMO you're a lousy inspector if you get those two things wrong.

I think it's OK to install CL-2 & NM in the same holes in a stud we are talking about cables and conductors in a conduit therefore quoting 300.3c does not apply.

Much less trouble to simply drill some holes now, while the work is open,
than make several extra trips on inspection calls.
Just give the AHJ a call and ask.
